The Artist
Jimmy McMenamin is an artist, muralist & graffiti writer from the Greater Philadelphia area. In 2008, he created Glossblack, LLC as a way to offer his artistic skills to everyone; business owners, homeowners, corporations, etc. The demand for his mural work began to surpass his expectations, creating a buzz among Philadelphians. By 2016, he walked away from a career in the sciences to pursue art full-time and never looked back.
Glossblack’s client list is extensive, having provided wall art for the likes of Disney, Google, Comcast, Red Bull, Under Armour, 76ers, Eagles, Gap, Budweiser, & Dunkin to name a few. Despite the big names, Jimmy is always very humble, thankful for the authentic connections made, and genuinely wants to provide the best quality work for his clients.
Today, he can be found in his South Jersey studio painting, screen printing, designing, and planning for upcoming mural work. Aside from his passion for art, murals, & typography, he loves spending his free-time with his lovely wife & three children.
The Project Manager
From my first job at a small, family-owned dry cleaners, I learned the importance of customer service and how it can make or break both parties’ experience with one another. This stays in the forefront of my mind whenever I am assisting clients with their mural projects, managing the webstore and even while on-site for an installation.
Swift, honest and thorough communication along with knowing and understanding the process from start to finish are the key ways in which I make sure to do the best I can on every project I am involved with.
Whenever not taking care of business or slathering on some paint—I am likely to be found kicking back with my amazing girlfriend Maddie and our two dogs Duke and River, thrifting, working out, wrenching on something or spending quality time with family and friends!
